Added three home runs, 33 runs batted in, 41 runs scored, 14 doubles, a triple and seven stolen bases. ... Led team with 23 multi-hit games and also had eight multi-RBI games. Angel L Lugo - Extra Innings Instructor
Angel was a star shortstop / Pitcher at Grady High School in Brooklyn NY. In 1988 Angel was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 22nd round of the amateur draft. After spending 2 years in the Twins organization, Angel signed as a free agent with the Florida Marlins before retiring from the Toronto Blue jays in 1993. Angel currently serves as the lead pitching instructor at Extra Innings and is an expert on the fundamentals of throwing & pitching. Angel is available for Hitting, Fielding & Pitching Lessons all year long.
Victor T Reich - Extra Innings Instructor
Victor was a high school standout while attending Lafayette High School in Brooklyn. He Attended the College of Staten Island where he was a division III All- American and MVP of the 1987 CUNY Championships as a freshman. Victor played semi-pro baseball in the past and continues to play for fun. He is also the General Manager, lead hitting / fielding instructor at Extra Inning Wappinger.
Mark Ruggeri - Extra Innings Instructor
Mark attended Lincoln High School in Westchester New York from 1980-1981. In 1981 Mark was named all -county & all-city infielder of the year. Mark has coached in the past and currently continues to coach a travel team in Newburgh NY. Mark also plays in a highly competitive softball league and plays against some of the best softball players in the country. In addition to the above mentioned, in the late 90's Mark played in the United States wiffle Ball Championships coming in third overall. Mark serves as a softball / baseball instructor at Extra innings and is available for private lessons.
Tony Dinardi - Extra Innings Instructor
Tony brings over 30 years of experience as a player and coach. He has been working as a baseball instructor for the past 5 years formerly with Frozen Ropes and the past 2 years here at Extra Innings. He is currently the Modified baseball coach at Poughkeepsie Middle School where he is helping to improve the overall baseball program in Poughkeepsie. He graduated from Lakeland HS in 1974 where he was a captain and leading hitter for the Hornets and was selected to both the All League Team (3 yrs) and All County Team (2 yrs). He went on to have an outstanding college and amateur career and currently plays for the Yorktown Pirates in the Men's Senior Baseball League.
Steve Alhona - Extra Innings Instructor
A solid player at Chowan College, Steve helped his team to a winning record during his 4 year college baseball career. Steve brings 5 years of college coaching experience here to Extra Innings. Steve Coached the Newport Gulls in the New England College League, where he raised the teams batting Average to a record .284. After arriving at Georgetown he helped raise the teams batting average 25 points & had a player sign a professional contract, 1st in 5 years. Steve is available for Hitting, Pitching & Fielding lessons.
Samantha Howe - Extra Innings Instructor
A Star Pitcher at John Jay H.S, Samantha was voted Second Team all League / all Sectional Pitcher in her Junior & Senior Years. She also played 6 years with one of the top travel teams in Hudson Valley, The Hudson Valley Express. During her six years on the Express, Sam helped her team win numerous tournaments. Currently Samantha attends Manhattanville College. Last year she was voted 2nd Team All conference Pitcher / Second basemen of the year. Samantha is currently available for Pitching Lessons.
Nicole Oliva - Extra Innings Instructor
A Standout Player at John Jay H.S, Nicole was all state 3rd team in 2005. After her Senior year in High School, Nicole attended Manhattenville College where she compiled many accolades such as Rookie of the year, All region 2006, all time career hits leader and all conference 2006-2009. She currently coaches New Paltz varsity softball team and is currently available for hitting and fielding lessons.
Tom Weiner - Extra Innings Instructor
A 4 year letter winner in High school and All conference Player at SUNY Brockport, Tom holds the school record for games played, walks and HBP. Tom currently coaches the Hyde Park JV baseball team and is our Strength and conditioning instructor. He is available for hitting and fielding lessons.
Bill Mercurio - Extra Innings Instructor
Bill played his college ball at Rutgers Newark and was Named 1st team All conference/All State; and conference player of the week during the 2005 season. He was also named 2nd team All Region and D-III National Player of the week Honorable mention during the 2006 season. Bill is currently available for private baseball / softball slow pitch hitting instruction.

Trevor Purcell - Extra Innings Instructor
Trevor played college baseball at Mount Saint Mary's in Newburgh NY from 1999-2002. He holds various school records for both hitting and pitching. Trevor also played one season in the Independent League on the Adirondack Lumberjacks as a starting pitcher. Currently Trevor is an assistant coach at Mount Saint Mary's College. Trevor is available for pitching, hitting and fielding.
Jim Schult - Extra Innings Instructor
Jim played his college ball at Eastern Connecticut State University and was named the 2011 Division III National Player of the Year, 2011 ABCA First Team ALL-American -UT. 2011 NEIBA Player of the year, 2011 Little East conference Pitcher of the year and ECSU Male Athlete of the Year (2011). He moved on to play for the NY Federals in the Can Am league this past season. Jim is available for private hitting and pitching lessons at Extra Innings Wappinger.
